We love smoothies around here. And we really love quick and simple smoothie recipes that brighten your day like sunshine. Passion fruit is the definition of sunshine with a sweet yet slightly tangy flavor. So, I’m here to share my obsession (maybe passion is a better word) for it with you! This smoothie will quickly become part of your daily routine. It is packed with antioxidants and can easily be made with frozen passion fruit cubes that are readily available in any grocery store freezer section.
what you’ll need
This smoothie uses four basic ingredients to create a creamy texture, sweet flavor, and refreshing taste!
Passion Fruit Puree: This used to be kind of hard to find, but now many retailers, like Target and Whole Foods, carry frozen passion fruit cubes that would work great for this smoothie (or you can make your own passion fruit puree). You could also simply use frozen passion fruit that you make yourself. Mango and Pineapple: Feel free to use fresh or frozen. Orange Juice: I use 100% pure orange juice and recommend not using juice with added sweetness.
let’s make it!
Smoothie Variations
Add Protein: Try adding a scoop of vanilla protein powder or Greek yogurt for extra protein. Swap Fruit: I love mango in this smoothie, but banana will work too. Frozen banana creates a similar consistency to mango. Coconut Water: You can use coconut water in place of orange juice for a little hydration boost. Make it a Popsicle: You can pour this mixture into a popsicle mold to make passion fruit popsicles.
