POG juice (passion fruit, orange, guava) is a versatile tropical drink common in Hawaii. Once in a blue moon, you can find it in a store, but it’s also super easy to make at home. This juice is basically sunshine in a glass, packed with so many vitamins and antioxidants from the array of tropical fruits. Serve it chilled with breakfast, or use it as a base to make popsicles or cocktails.
You don’t need much
Since the ingredients for this POG juice recipe are pretty self-explanatory, I wanted to focus on where to find them in the grocery store.
Passion fruit juice: Sometimes you can find this juice next to the other juices, or you can make your own passion juice. But it’s more commonly found frozen in cubes next to other frozen fruit. Orange juice: I prefer to use pulp-free juice, but whatever you like will work. Guava nectar: This is usually available in a can in the shelf-stable drink aisle. Try to find one that doesn’t have any added sugar.
Let’s Make POG juice
Making homemade passion orange guava juice is as simple as stirring everything together and serving!
ways to enjoy your juice
Nice Cream Milkshake: Add a bit of POG juice to a vanilla milkshake for a tropical creamsicle. Passion Fruit Popsicle: Instead of just passionfruit, use POG for tropical flavor! Fruit Mojitos: These can be made with any fruit or splash of juice. The mint adds another layer of flavor to the POG juice.
