Can I make these cashew squares into cashew shortbread cookies?
As I mentioned in the chocolate chip cookie, you can easily convert the squares into cookies. Drop a tablespoon of batter on a greased cookie sheet and bake them for 10 -12 mins until they turn slightly turn brown at the botton. The cookie will be a little firm on the outside and softer in the center.
How to get firm shortbread-like cashew squares?
I have used an 8* 8 square pan for baking. For this quantity, it gives soft cashew squares. If you prefer shortbread cashew squares use a bigger pan. I have tried baking shortbread square with half of the mentioned quantity in the 8*8 square pan and it was towards the cookie texture. Alternatively, you can also spoon the batter for cookie
Can I use Whole wheat flour?
You can use wheat flour but the taste might slightly vary.

Ingredients:
1 can Condensed milk 155 grams (1+ 1/4 cup ) all-purpose flour 1/4 cup, heaped Roughly chopped Cashew 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
How to make Cashew Squares
Preheat the oven to 320 F Line an 8 x 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and grease with butter spray
In a mixing bowl add flour, and cardamom powder; mix well furthermore add condensed milk, and 2 tablespoon of cashew; mix well to make a lump free smooth batter
Pour into the prepared baking pan and tap to remove air bubbles Sprinkle 2 tablespoon of cashew all around the batter and sprinkle sugar
Bake on the center rack for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes
Cut into squares and enjoy
