YEs always mix well and make sure mixture is lump free then cook halwa

Can I cut the halwa immediately? Always cool the halwa completely then cut the halwa. Grease and use a knife for cutting halwa.
Should I roast cashew?
Roasting cashew is optional for halwa. You can saute cashews in ghee or add it directly.

Ingredients:
1 cup custard powder halwa 2 + 1/2 cup of sugar 4 cups of water 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder 3 tablespoon ghee pinch of food color How to make custard powder halwa with step by step pictures:
Grease a pan with ghee and keep aside
In a mixing bowl add custard powder, water, sugar, and cardamom powder; mix well without any lumps
Add ghee and prepared mixture to the heavy-bottomed pan. turn the stove on high flame and cook
Mixture starts thickening
Liquid turs to halwa thickness. Add ghee and mix well
Add cashew and mix well. continue cooking
Furthermore ghee and mix well
Once halwa thickens and turns glossy start checking for halwa consistency. Take a small portion of the halwa and rest it for a minute, meanwhile, cook halwa on low flame. If halwa is sticky continue cooking
Continue cooking and check halwa consistency. Take a small portion of the halwa and rest it for a minute, meanwhile, cook halwa on low flame. If halwa turns nonstick, mix well and turn off the stove
Transfer and level. cool completely
Cool completely and cut the halwa to your desired size
