Why Add Cream Cheese To This White Chocolate Fudge Recipe?
What I love about this specific recipe is that we use cream cheese as well as white chocolate to cut the sweetness ever so slightly. I tried this recipe using white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, and while delicious, I got 4 cavities simply by sampling. Plus, the cream cheese adds a creamy richness for texture!

How To Make Dulce De Leche Fudge
The steps are very easy, but make sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full ingredient list and instructions!
Step One: In the bowl of your stand mixer beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together, much like a cream cheese frosting. Step Two: Melt the white chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. I ALWAYS recommend using a double boiler, but if you want to use the microwave please make sure to only heat it in 15 second increments and stir. White chocolate has a tendency of burning very quickly and getting grainy in the microwave. And note that brands matter with white chocolate. I prefer using the brand Guittard and chop the white chocolate instead of using chips. Step Three: Mix the melted white chocolate mixture into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
Step Four: Spoon the dulce de leche into the white chocolate mixture and swirl it in, careful not to over-mix it. The thick ribbons of dulce de leche are the best part! Step Five: Press the mixture evenly into a lined pan and chill it until it’s set!
How To Store Fudge
You can store this white chocolate fudge airtight in the refrigerator. Normally fudge can be store at room temperature, but since this includes cream cheese it’s best to keep it chilled. You can also freeze the fudge airtight for up to 2 months for best freshness. Thaw it in the refrigerator.
