Roasted broccoli is a staple in any kitchen. However, sometimes it’s known to be soggy and flavorless. Not this recipe, though! It uses parmesan and lemon to create crispy, caramelized edges. This recipe is what I like to call a back-pocket recipe. It uses all kitchen staple ingredients and comes together so quickly. It’s perfect for a busy schedule or holiday temptations that are threatening your veggies.
Ingredients For Roasted Broccoli
Broccoli doesn’t have to be boring! These simple ingredients will make broccoli your weekly favorite and a show-stopper for any holiday gathering.
Broccoli: Roasting broccoli softens it and creates a delicious charred exterior that will have folks coming back for seconds! Olive Oil: Oil helps to achieve that crispy outside on the broccoli. Feel free to use any type of cooking oil you have on hand (we love heart-healthy olive oil around here). Lemon Juice: Lemon juice helps the broccoli shine! Its acidity wakes up the taste buds and is the perfect pairing with parmesan. Parmesan: This salty cheese has a slightly nutty flavor and adds a wonderful creaminess to this broccoli dish. Spices: For this dish, I keep it simple with some classic spices that pack a lot of flavors: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and (my favorite) red pepper flakes. Sometimes, I’ll throw in my homemade lemon pepper seasoning for a little something extra!

Also filled with lemon and parmesan, these two dishes go perfectly together!
