Ingredient Notes:
Potatoes: I use Yukon Gold potatoes for mashed potatoes as I feel they give the best consistency and are great for mashing. They also have a naturally buttery flavor and a high starch content, making them perfect for the best creamy mashed potatoes. Cream Cheese: To get that perfect consistency, I like to add cream cheese to my mashed potatoes. Many people traditionally would use milk.
How to make mashed potatoes:
Need to make this recipe for a larger crowd? Simply double the recipe! I don’t have a ricer: If you don’t have a ricer, simply use a potato masher to mash the potatoes and then add them back to the pot. Storage: Store in the fridge in an airtight container for 3 – 5 days.
