Palkova

Palgova is a tasty Indian sweet prepared with whole fat milk. This tasty sweet can be prepared with just two ingredients, therattipal tastes so yummy. 

Milk for palkova

Always use full-fat fresh milk. Don’t use skimmed milk. Boil the milk at a very low temperature and continue cooking until the process is complete. This requires constant stirring to avoid burning or sticking to the bottom. If the milk is in the fridge, always bring it to room temperature before preparing palkova

Sugar

For Srivilliputhur Palkova always use white sugar. You can use jaggery or country sugar. Adding sugar at the right time gives you the perfect color for the Palkova. If you add it too early, the sugar dissolves and you will end up getting slightly yellowish to brownish Palkova.

How to make Srivilliputhur Palkova with step-by-step pictures

In a wide heavy bottomed pan add milk and let it boil Cook on low flame keep stirring and scrape the sides regularly make sure it is not burnt, and keep doing it every time the milk starts boiling At one stage milk reduces to 1/3 quantity and becomes like a cream Add the sugar around that time and keep stirring cook till the sugar melts well and therattipal becomes a whole mass  Turn off immediately and transfer to Another dish to prevent further cooking
